Meet The Team
Michael Gallagher is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Michael is a Registered Tax Agent and a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants. Michael holds a Master of Taxation Degree from the ATAX Law School of UNSW.
Michael has a Public Practice Certificate from the Institute of Public Accountants and a Diploma in Financial Planning. Michael is a registered trainer holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He has lectured in Taxation Law at Swinburne TAFE and at CQUniversity Melbourne Campus where he was National Coordinator and Examiner for the Post-Graduate Course of Master in Professional Accounting.
Michael’s financial acumen, teamed with his training and lecturing experience have provided him with an excellent ability to explain financial concepts, plans and terminology in a language that financial and non-financial people can understand easily. This ability is the drive to emphasise the need for Gallagher’s entire team to be effective communicators.
Ross Walker is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and is Gallagher Accountants Practice Manager. Ross holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from La Trobe University and brings over 20 years’ experience to the team. Ross joined the team in 2015. Ross gets the job done and is integral to the team.
Melissa Wright is our Administration Manager and the backbone of Gallagher Accountants. Melissa brings many years’ experience in public practice to her role.
We know that during the day, you’re out doing what you do best, and also that for a lot of tradies, it is their partners that take care of the books while you take care of the tools.
We’ll come to your home or office, after hours if need be and speak with both of you.
